Contemporary Worship Team

The First Presbyterian Church contemporary worship team leads the congregation in worship during the weekly 8:30 and 11 a.m. services in Stephenson Hall. Music varies stylistically from popular praise songs to adaptations of traditional hymns.

The worship team is always looking for people interested in participating as a vocalist or instrumentalist. Rehearsals are held on Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday mornings before worship.

First Church is now forming a Contemporary Worship Choir!  This group is open to singers age high school and up, and of all levels of music experience.  The purpose of the choir is to encourage and bolster congregational singing in our 11:00 AM contemporary worship service in Stephenson Hall.  Rehearsals are periodically on Thursdays at 5:30 PM in the main choir room.  The choir will lead in worship with the Worship Team once a month.  For more information, contact Eric Baird or Gretchen Bashforth.

Volunteers are also needed for AV (Audio/Video) support to make sure everything runs smoothly and sounds great. Even inexperienced volunteers may be trained for a position in supporting worship.
