High School (Exodus)
First Presbyterian Church Youth Ministries strive to make disciples of Jesus Christ who seek to follow Him daily, invite others to encounter Him, and be the Church here and now.
Exodus is the high-school (grades 9-12) youth group of First Presbyterian Church. Exodus meets in the Powerhouse for Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. and on Wednesdays during the school year for small groups from 6:30-8 p.m. in various students’ homes. Amass Exodus is our monthly gathering focused on building our relationships with God and each other! We fearlessly discuss what following Christ looks like today and have powerful worship, and organized fun on the second Saturday of each month throughout the school year.
Exodus is led by Steve Wilson, First Presbyterian Church’s director of youth ministries. Steve has worked with youth for over 20 years, beginning as a volunteer Sunday school teacher for sixth graders. He worked for several years as the director of middle school ministries before moving with his students into high school. He is consistently amazed by God’s outlandish love and grace. He enjoys talking with youth about their faith, woodworking, cookies and walking his dog Rascal. He and his wife, Stacey live in midtown with their two children: Eli and Emma.
