Downtown Theological Rountable
Downtown Theological Roundtable is a new weekly small group modeled after J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis and their Inklings group at Oxford. The goal is to gather weekly and go in-depth with thoughtful discussion on the great books or important books to our theological upbringings and heritage.
The first few months, the group will read and discuss Hatch's Democratization of American Christianity in order to ground the group in how we, as Americans, probably came to think in the theological way that we do, before moving on to analyze and discuss earlier books.
Reading is required for good discussion and it is best to start at the beginning. The roundtable will be held in Kirkland Library from 11:30-12:30 p.m. Lunch is available with a reservation. If you are interested in joining Dr. Ryan Moore and Phillip Bowman in this new group, please contact Phillip at 918-630-1786 or contact him at .
