News from the Pastor Nominating Committee
Dear First Church members,
The Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC) wants to provide regular updates on the progress of our search for a designated pastor and associate pastor.
Our committee has been meeting nearly every week to expedite the search. Please keep in mind this is an involved process that requires much discussion, discernment and prayer. Currently, we are hard at work, gathering information from potential applicants for the position of designated pastor. Once that position is filled, we will begin the search for an associate pastor.
We have requested and now are reviewing essay responses, sermon tapes and videos from a narrowed field of applicants. We plan to follow up with interviews.
We will keep you informed as the process unfolds. Please continue to pray for our church, the Pastor Nominating Committee and the person the Lord is calling to become part of our church family.
