University Ministries

Within the larger church community that is First Presbyterian Church, FPC University Ministries is dedicated to building bridges into students’ lives that will enable them to glorify God during and beyond their college experience. Many students from ORU, TU, TCC and the OU/OSU/NSU - Tulsa extension campuses have found First Church to be their "home-away-from-home" during their college experience. As students begin their academic pursuits, our hope is that their foundation of faith established today will stand firm tomorrow.

Gateway Worship @ TU (Thursdays @ 9pm)

About Gateway Worship:
Each week university students gather together at 9pm in Sharp Chapel on the campus of the University of Tulsa to celebrate real life in Jesus Christ through humor, song, prayer, teaching and socializing.

Gateway worship began in 2007 as an outreach to university students. Today, students come from all over the Tulsa area but mainly from the University of Tulsa. Gateway is best described as a weekly service of celebration. It is not a seeker-oriented event, though many seekers come and many have discovered Jesus for the first time here. It is not merely a worship service for believers either, though we do celebrate the Lord's Supper once per month. Gateway worship is high in substance, low on Christian cliché and centered on making Jesus relevant, whether you are unchurched, sitting on the fence, or actively maturing in your faith.

Sunday Mornings

Worship at FPC at 8a (Chapel), 9:30a (Great Hall), or 11:00a (Sanctuary)

Small Group Bible Study @ 11am on the 3rd Floor of the Bernsen Center

FREE Lunch @ Noon for all University Students, typically held at the Powerhouse (though we do go off-site on occasion)

Core Groups

Core groups are one of the best ways to find fellowship, friendship, and learn more about real life in Jesus Christ. Core groups are usually split guys/girls and are usually specific to school year.

We will have sign-ups the first few weeks of each semester so make sure you connect early! But don't worry you can join at ANY time during the school year!
