Weekly Bible
Moms on Monday - Moms of preschool and school age children meet weekly during the school year for Bible study and fellowship. We offer support to one another and the larger church throughout the year. Childcare is provided. Mondays 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. Contact: Shannon Bair, 918-745-8097.
Men’s Fellowship and Study – Join us for Bible study, book studies, discussion and prayer. Tuesday, 7:00 a.m. at the Stauffer and Nathan Law Conference Room. For more information, contact Sally Henning, 918-301-1019.
Precept Bible Study - Learn how to study the Bible for yourself as you study with others. We use the inductive method – a simple process that teaches you how to study and understand the Bible. Men’s Early Bible Study – Begin your day in Christian fellowship with a faithful group of men who pray together and study God’s Word every week (even during the summer). Wednesdays 6:45 – 7:45 a.m. Contact: Calvin Swindell, 918-743-5829.
Marys & Marthas – Women journeying through mid-life together enjoy weekly Bible study and prayer. Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. Contact: Monte Prater, 918-446-6418.
Hearts for the Lord – Women of every age from First Church and the larger community meet for Bible study and relationships that knit the group together in Christian love. Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. Contact Janet Bull, 918-744-6822
Before the Rooster Crows –This group of men and women meets to reflect on the Biblical texts for Sunday’s worship service. Prepare your heart on Saturday for God’s word on Sunday! This group is led by Dr. Jim Miller, Pastor, or the First Church associate pastor preaching that Sunday. Saturday 8:45 – 10:00 a.m. Contact: Carol Jolly, 918-660-8896.
Christian Classics – This group of men and women meets during the Advent and Lent Seasons to study Christian Classics together. We generate thought provoking discussion as we grow in knowledge and faith. This group is led by Warren Muller, and will be studying John Bunyan's "Pilgrims Progress" starting Feburary 25th for Lent 2013. Classes are Mondays 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., and lunch ($5) is available upon reservation. Books are available for purchase at the book corner. Wednesday Night Downtown (WNDT) – Come join us for a brief time of worship and fellowship as a large family of faith and then break into various class offerings. WNDT is offered for several weeks during the fall, spring and summer seasons. We offer classes such as: Introduction to the New Testament, Christian Wisdom for Parents with Teens, Faith & Physics, Sacred Art, and other interesting topics and in-depth scriptural studies. Guy's Monday Lunchtime Bible Study – This men's bible study is held every monday at noon. The spring 2013 study will include 16 sessions from January 21 through May 20 (excluding President's Day and spring break). Members can anticipate starting the first week with Matthew chapter 1 along with an overview of the Book of Matthew. Following that, the group will likely study 2 chapters each week.
